Bless Your Heart

The September 22 1933 edition of the Toronto Daily Star contained an ad that was something of a throwback to an earlier era:

Before the invention of radio and the record player, the only way that people could listen to music was to buy sheet music and play it themselves. This ad was for people who still did that even when radio had taken over.

A YouTube search turned up a recording of “Bless Your Heart” by the Fontane Sisters from 1954, and a player piano playing an instrumental version.
