East Toronto hospital

The June 13 1927 edition of the Toronto Daily Star contained an article about plans to annex land in East York to build a new hospital:

Toronto East General Hospital, now known as Michael Garron Hospital, was completed in 1929, and has been added to ever since. The annexation fell through, though; when I was born in Toronto East General in 1960, my birth certificate listed me as having been born in East York.
